✨ “The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to w ✨ “The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul.” (Acts 16:14) Lydia was already a worshipper of God. Already faithful. Already doing what she’d always done. Yet God still needed to open her heart. Why? Because being sincere does not automatically mean being receptive. And familiarity can quietly turn into resistance. She didn’t reject what Paul said because it was new. She didn’t dismiss it because it wasn’t what she’d always known. She stayed open and God met her there. An open heart doesn’t accept everything blindly, but it also doesn’t shut down truth just because it stretches us. Revelation requires humility. Growth requires openness. And God often speaks in ways that don’t fit our old boxes. If God is speaking something fresh, may we have hearts open enough to pay attention, not guarded by tradition, fear, or pride. #Acts1614 #OpenHeart #HearingGod #SpiritualGrowth #faithjourney
I’ve read Psalm 91 so many times, but today verse I’ve read Psalm 91 so many times, but today verse 1 stopped me. “He who dwells in the secret place shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty whose power no foe can withstand.” This psalm isn’t about visiting God. It’s about dwelling. Setting our love on the Lord is dwelling in the secret place. It’s the same thing. These promises aren’t for those who pass through but for those who abide. Those who make the Lord their habitation. (John 15. Psalm 91.9) When you live in the secret place you’re not fighting for cover you’re already under it.
